My kid’s love to help cook in the kitchen, so I thought this would be a great recipe for them to make! Also, because I was looking down at brown bananas and naturally banana bread popped in my head. Â My 7 year old, Ashlyn, immediately hopped on board when I asked her if she wanted to do a Kids in the Kitchen cooking segment: Crock Pot Banana Bread
Crock Pot Banana BreadÂ
It turned out so moist and evenly cooked, plus it was a heavenly smell throughout the house! My crock pot cooks hotter, so I shut it off a little earlier than the recipe called for. Â It was Ashlyn’s idea to add in peanut butter chips, which was brilliant. Â Peanut butter & banana goes together like cookies & creme! Of course, you can add in things like chocolate chips, pecans, walnuts or whatever you feel like.
When it was done, we couldn’t wait to dive in. Â It was delicious, moist, and barely made it in the house til the next day! Ashlyn did a wonderful job for her very first “Kids in the Kitchen” cooking segment, so be on the look out for more of her recipes!!!
